Management Training ProgramPlanning for future employee succession within Calgary Co-op will ensure the ongoing success of the business and employee careers. A major component of succession planning is assisting existing employees with the training they need to progress into positions of greater responsibility. Calgary Co-op's One-to-One Management Training Program provides necessary training for individuals who demonstrate the desire and leadership qualities to become a manager. One-to-One trainers partner with our management trainees to ensure a more effective training experience and mentoring in various fields of expertise. Our comprehensive training manual provides the basis of the program through use of training modules on a variety of topics and subject areas. In-house management development courses and other developmental activities provide information relative to the operation of a successful and profitable department. Formal progress reviews take place on monthly basis between the trainee, their trainer and the division or department director to ensure training is progressing and to answer any questions. The One-to-One Management Training Program continues until the trainee is successfully placed in a management level position. This program provides employees with an opportunity for career development and growth, and ensures Calgary Co-op has qualified, well-trained employees who can step into management positions as they become available. |
